Everyone loved Selma.
The funeral was in Las Vegas where Selma lived and died. Most of us were unable to attend, but for those who did, the talk and the tears flowed freely. Sweet memories were shared, intense feelings were aired, and sorrow sometimes gave way to laughter. Her love and warmth came through, living on in her children and grandchildren.
For those who were there, the funeral service offered a bit of solace and the beginnings of closure. Those who were not there needed some of that too, and Esther and Fran held a memorial service in New Jersey on January 30th.
The turnout was truly amazing in spite of a threatened major snowstorm a real tribute to Selma and her love of our family. The Levy family, both immediate and extended, had memories to share, feelings to express, and a host of anecdotes to laugh or cry over.
Since so many people on both coasts had so much to say, and since it made everyone feel a little bit better to share, we want to extend the opportunity through our family web site. Remembering and sharing are therapeutic, both for the speaker and the listener. So we're inviting you now. Fill out the form below and tell us your Selma stories. Help her live on in all our memories.
